MPM Minute: LinkedIn Hacks to Find Jobs

You're scrolling LinkedIn for hours.

Applying to jobs with 200+ applicants.

Getting nowhere.

Here are 2 hacks to change that:

Hack 1: Find People Who Are Actually Hiring

  • Search "We're hiring" on LinkedIn.

  • Click Posts, then filter by Date Posted: Past 24 hours.

  • Now you see real people hiring, not just job boards.

  • Read about the role. Don't just apply.

  • Ask for a referral on LinkedIn [Use this template]

Pro tip: Use Hunter.io to find their email and send them a cold email to stand out [Use this template]

Hack 2: Find Jobs Posted in the Last Hour

LinkedIn hides fresh postings. Here's how to see them first.

  • Filter jobs by "Last 24 hours." Look at the URL. You'll see the number "86,400."

  • Change it to "3,600."

Now LinkedIn shows you jobs posted in the last hour.

  • You'll find roles posted 50 minutes ago with 0 applicants. Some posted 30 minutes ago with under 10 applicants.

You're first in line. Not competing with 100s of other applicants.

Both these hacks have landed our students multiple referrals, interviews and job offers.

As promised, value in a minute.
